Canman Lab Members

Julie is the Principal Investigator of the lab.  She is originally from Wisconsin and completed her undergraduate work at the University of Wisconsin, her graduate work at the University of North Carolina, and her postdoctoral work at both the University of Oregon and the University of California at San Diego. She has received the NIH Director's New Innovator award (2011-2016), the ASCB WICB Jr. Award for Excellence in Research (2017), and the Harold and Golden Lamport Award for Excellence in Basic Science Research (2018).

Tristian is a graduate student in the Biological Sciences doctoral program. Originally from Arkansas, he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Hendrix College.

Jess is a graduate student in the Biological Sciences doctoral program originally from New Jersey. She recieved her Bachelors of Arts in Biology from Washington University in St. Louis. In her free time she enjoys making art, watching horror movies, going to concerts, and exploring the city.
